IrisAccess® technology secures laboratories and hazardous materials.
Identification through biometrics is extremely critical throughout laboratories. In several locations Aditech has installed IrisAccess® Contact-free Iris Recognition Access Control Solutions where there is a need to meet the strictest bio-lab security requirements.
Policies and the law require positive identification to ensure only the right people have access to the right labs, whether they are Biological – Level 2 ,3 or 4.
Proof of laboratory access and an automated audit trail confirm who was in the lab and for how long. Two-man rules apply at all time for “max labs” or maximum containment laboratories. These policies have further been enhanced during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Besides being assured that all these rules are enforced using biometrics, Aditech’s iris recognition cameras can identify our lab personnel while they are still wearing safety goggles or protected completely inside hazardous material suits. Bio-lab personnel can trigger access doors and set security alarms by just looking at the iris recognition cameras.
Unlike Iris Recognition technology, facial readers may be contactless, but masks, goggles or HazMat suits may greatly reduce the accuracy of the recognition software. This can lead to the rejection of authorized people and others with no legitimate business in the area being allowed to enter.
Aditech Ltd. has been involved with many biometric applications across the complete spectrum of industry including Government, Aviation, Military, Construction, Medical, Manufacturing, Corporate Security and of course Hazardous Material Handling.
